Devil's Night, etc.

Hello all. So we’re home from our summer travels. Fall is on its way. The LP is tracked and is currently in the mixing stage. The Whiskey Trench split is due out any day now. A few noteworthy shows to mention though.
Windsor residents have two chances to catch us in October. On the 11th we’re playing an all ages house show in Joey from Blurt’s garage. Its an early one, 6-9, so be there on time or lose. On October 30th, we’re playing a special Devils Night show at the Loop with Another Saturday Knight. Did you know that whole Devils Night thing is regional? I didn’t. Talk to people outside the Midwest and they have no clue what you’re talking about.
As for Toronto residents, you should stop by Sneaky Dees on Oct 14th, as we’ll be playing with Florida’s Fake Problems.
That’s all for now.

Summer Update.

well, I guess the biggest news is that in the midst of some summer touring, we'll be stopping in vancouver for two weeks in late july/ early august to record our first proper full length at the hive creative labs (ladyhawk, tranzmitors, black mountain, etc). at the controls will be stu mckillop (daggermouth, aspirations). the hive is also featured in the july issue of exclaim, so check that shit out.

masters have been sent off for the whiskey trench split on vinyl addict. the artwork is unreal, compliments of frank chartrand (vicious cycle) of small change, inc. preview above.

tour with carpenter and aspirations was rad, great dudes, good times.
more soon!

unwelcome guests split out now on salinas.

I guess the headline says it all. We’re beyond excited that this record is finally out, a split with our new pals in Unwelcome Guests, and is on Salinas no less. If you’re not familiar with Salinas, go check out their website. One of our favorite labels by far. They’ve released records by some of the best bands frequenting basements across north america today. And Marco is a peach. The song featured is Burning Ash Again, which was recorded just over a year ago at Chemical Sound in Toronto with the vikingesque Ian Blurton. Stunning artwork by Top Shelf comics’ own Jeff Lemire (tales from the farm, ghost stories). You can procure one of these hot tamales from us at our next show, locally at Dr. Disc, or online from Salinas or No Idea (soon).
We’ve got some shows cooking too, stop by myspace for all the details.

Welcome.

Welcome to our first entry. I guess this is our website. “Real” websites cost money, and we don’t have any. Myspace is fine for posting audio, but is also kind of lame and losing steam fast. Thus, this is a good permanent residence for us and news of our minor triumphs and major failures. Pictured above is the artwork for our next release which should be committed to 7" vinyl early next month. We’re very excited about this and urge you to check out the band we’re sharing the wax with (the Amistad) and both labels involved (document / ROIDH). The band and labels are based in the UK, and we hope cross the pond and meet them all face to face very soon.
More OC news soon.
If you're a resident of windsor ontario, come and see us at the Loop this thursday.
